Mission and Purpose
Our Mission:
To be a viable force for progressive leadership in Oro Valley, Arizona, and the Greater Northwest Tucson area. We encourage our fellow citizens to participate in democracy and we honor the strengths and diversity of our unique and historic environment.
Our Purpose:
- Build a strong membership that is open, inclusive, and representative of the strengths of our community.
- Operate at all times in a fair and democratic manner, in accordance with established rules of order and procedure.
- Provide an open forum for community debate on local and national issues.
- Work enthusiastically for the election of public and party officials of the highest integrity and ability and support them in their work.
- Advocate enactment of legislation that will further the political goals of the Democratic Party locally, state-wide, and nationally.
- Support activities that will preserve the unique environment, history, character and beauty of our beloved Southern Arizona location.
- Support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and demand accountability from all public officials.
